“Onda” is Italian for “wave,” which is a reflection of both the waterfront location and the design by Arquitectonica cofounder and AIA award winner Bernardo Fort-Brescia. “We imagined a design that would embody the waves of the ocean,” explains developer Valerio Morabito. “Onda’s undulating exterior balconies reflect the movement of the water and the beauty of the bay.” The eight-story building’s statement-making architecture is matched by lush landscape architecture by Enzo Enea. Of note: the rooftop pool area, where tropical flora adds just the right amount of privacy.
This upscale and understated neighborhood is one of the city’s most exclusive. Encompassing two small islands, surrounded by water, it is a serene and largely residential haven that offers easy access to the best of Miami’s culture and offerings. Its neighbors are Bal Harbour and Surfside to the east, Indian Creek to the south, and North Miami to the west.
