Utterly inimitable, unflinchingly innovative: world-changing architecture from Gehry Partners can be found in sites as diverse as Chicago’s Jay Pritzker Pavilion and the Guggenheim in Bilbao. The two 15-story towers of Prospect Place are immediately recognizable as a Gehry creation yet do something that’s never been done before. The billowing sails of ships are the inspiration behind the undulating, staggered form of Prospect Place (particularly fitting, as it overlooks the River Thames). As Frank Gehry himself said, the architecture here stands artfully on its own while selflessly framing the iconic Battersea Power Station. The highly sculptured form of Prospect Place means no two residences are the same—although all come in ecstatically sweeping shapes, and all enjoy a winter garden or terrace.

The interiors of Prospect Place residences—measuring between 611 square feet and 3,563 square feet—are overseen by Gehry Partners, who have created two distinctive palettes for the 308 condominiums: “London” and “LA.” The latter palette plays off the theme of waterside living, incorporating a cooler, breezier vibe via lighter hues and pale wood finishes. The former mirrors the industrial panache of the power station itself, thanks to a streamlined industrial feel and metal fixtures. Gehry has always paid their dues to the great architecture that’s gone before.

Prospect Place residents have access to the sky lounge on the 14th and 15th floors of Battersea Roof Gardens, featuring a private cinema, work areas and meeting rooms, lounges and dining rooms with awe-inspiring views of the London skyline, a gaming area with a pool table, and a cocktail bar.
