70 Vestry: A Robert A.M. Stern-Designed Condo with Panoramic Hudson River Views Sells

By: LX Collection

Residence 11 North of 70 Vestry, the exclusive Hudson River-fronting Tribeca condominium designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by Related Companies, has sold for $24.62 million, according to public records. The 5,003-square-foot spread was purchased through a limited liability company called Greenleaf 7011.

From its discrete porte cochere to its personal elevator landings, the design of 70 Vestry prioritizes privacy. Through the residence’s entry foyer, the apartment opens into the corner great room that features a fireplace and panoramic views of the Hudson River. An adjacent library with an en suite fronts along the Hudson River and can be used as a sixth bedroom. The custom kitchen has oak paneling, Bardiglio Luco marble counters, and Miele appliances, including two dishwashers and a Sub-Zero wine refrigerator. “Its classic architecture by RAMSA, warm interiors by Daniel Romualdez, first-in-class amenities, and gracious layouts, 70 Vestry provides a truly unique offering on the Tribeca waterfront,” the building’s developer told LX Collection.

The primary bedroom boasts Hudson River views that can be enjoyed from its 149-square-foot terrace. It also sports two walk-in closets, a large dressing room, and dual en suite bathrooms. The four additional bedrooms, including a small room that can be used as a study, all have en suite bathrooms.

The Neighborhood:

Tribeca is the epitome of Downtown cool, with eateries, shops, and bars nestled into some of New York’s finest examples of repurposed industrial architecture. Converted warehouses and factories are the neighborhood norm for the area’s hallmark residential lofts, making the ground-up neoclassical architecture of 70 Vestry a rare treat. Tribeca is a see-and-be-seen neighborhood, where restaurants like Locanda Verde, The Odeon, and Racines NY woo household-name celebrities and New York scenesters alike. Here you’re as likely to see a Tribeca resident sporting the latest status bag on their arm as you are to pass by a neighborhood parent pushing around a Bugaboo, the Rolls Royce of baby strollers.

Amenities:

70 Vestry’s noted porte cochere and interior courtyard have attracted big-name celebrities who prioritize privacy, like Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady (who sold their residence in late 2020). The building features 12,000 square feet of amenities, including an entire floor devoted to wellness, with an 82-foot swimming pool, a gym designed by The Wright Fit, and a private regulation squash court. Its entertaining spaces include a billiards room and lounge, a private dining suite, and a cafe.
