7 Condos with Top-Tier Pet Amenities for Furry Friends

By: Emma Reynolds

Picture paw-fect pet amenities await at these luxury developments across the country. From San Francisco to Miami to New York, residential buildings are welcoming pets to live five-star lives like their owners. Amenities are no longer just for humans; instead, furry friends have their own selection of services, like pet spas, training, and grooming that will ensure they’re well taken care of.

Bark Buildings, an amenity program that partners with luxury condominiums and apartments to provide pet care services, organic dog treats, pet concierges, and local pet care recommendations, says that, according to research, 67% of U.S. households own at least one pet, and 79% of pet owners say their pet has brought them closer to their community.

“People absolutely love their pets, and they influence their biggest life decisions,” says Danit Zivan, who cofounded the brand with her brother Devir. “They even lean on their pets to socialize and spark relationships with new people. The pandemic has magnified all of this because people have gotten more pets, spent more time with the pets they do have, and are ready to get back to being social again.”

The more we operate from our homes, the easier life is for pet owners who have high-touch pet amenities within their building. Read on for some of the most impressive pet amenities available.

The West

Hell’s Kitchen in New York City is having a moment. Conveniently located along the West Side Highway with easy access to the city’s attractions, the neighborhood has recently welcomed several luxury buildings, including The West. Located on 11th Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets, The West is a 12-story luxury condominium building with hotel-style amenities and then some.

The building has partnered with premier NYC pet care company Throw Me A Bone to deliver services like dog walking, pet sitting, and training packages to the building’s pet owners. They also offer on-site grooming at the building’s pet spa. On the eighth floor, residents have access to a cute dog run, an open-air green space for pets to enjoy.

Asbury Ocean Club

Luxury living has arrived at the Jersey Shore with Asbury Ocean Club, a chic collection of oceanfront homes in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The residences are designed with endless views of the Atlantic through floor-to-ceiling windows and chic neutral color palettes with bespoke design elements and high-quality materials, like marble, natural wood, and stone.

For pet owners, the outdoor spaces and wraparound terraces provide immediate access for you and your pets to enjoy the world outside. However, there is also a large pet washing station in a private room. Tru Blu K9000 Dog Wash is a self-serve pet washing machine with shampoo, conditioner, and a blow dryer, so no matter how sandy your dog gets after playing on the beach, they will be clean by the time they get into your home.
